Auto detailing is a specialized cleaning job. The process is slightly more complicated than normal cleaning applications. When you clean a vehicle, you come across various types of surfaces and different types of stains and impurities. This makes auto detailing a more demanding cleaning process than others, including jobs like cleaning a house or cleaning the machinery in a factory. In particular, mobile auto detailing is the most demanding as it often requires the use of powerful machines in remote locations where electricity, water, and other resources may not be readily available. The Need for Specialized Auto Detailing Devices An automobile consists of components made of metal or metal alloys. Body, chassis, and parts of the engine are examples of the hard components of the vehicle. It also contains softer parts such as seats, headliners, mats, and upholstery. For cleaning the metal surfaces, high temperature and moderate pressure levels output are required. For example, to remove petroleum and oil residues and grease from engine parts, one has to use pressure washers that can provide an output pressure levels in excess of 1000 psi and an output temperature of about 300°F. However, if you apply the same temperature and pressure levels on seats, mats, or upholstery, you will end up damaging these parts. Therefore, carpet cleaners are used for removing stain and dirt from car mats and upholstery. Designed specifically for upholstery and automotive cleaning, the temperature of these devices range up to 210°F and the pressure level can reach up to 150 psi.
